Take heart
You are not the first to walk this road, and you don’t have to travel alone. While night can feel very long, the dawn always comes. I will guide you toward it.
I help people meet death and loss with courage and open-heartedness.
I’m Cheryl McFarren, an End of Life Doula and the founder of The Dawn Companion.

You’ll find support here
whether you’re caring for someone who is dying or facing your own death.
I sit with families and with their dying loved ones: working alongside those caring for them, planning, witnessing, tending what still needs finishing, shaping a memorable goodbye.
I work in person near Southern Colorado’s Spanish Peaks, and by video anywhere. And, if you need someone in the room when I can’t be there, I’ll help you locate a doula who can.
It isn’t “too early” to reach out.
The sooner we begin, the more emotional space there is. This means you can make plans while heads are clear, say the important things while there’s still time to say them, and move through this experience gently rather than in a panic.
The next step is small: ten minutes on the phone, at no cost. Just click the button below and request a call. Tell me what’s been going on, and we’ll find where to begin together.
